A return to work program is part of a continuum of injury prevention and rehabilitation. We will help develop if required your Injury/Illness program to ensure it meets all regulatory requirements. All forms will be organization and industry specific. Roll out of forms to all key stakeholders will also be included.

We will work with all key stakeholders (Organization, Worker, WCB, Health Care Practitioners) to ensure that Modified Work and Return-to-Work programs run smoothly and efficiently. All communication will be documented to ensure transparency. Return-to-work plans will be designed to accommodate the employee’s capabilities. Torgan Safety can deal with challenging claimants (workers) from an arm’s length representative view to help mitigate any disputes between worker and organization.
Torgan Safety will work with your organization on a non-illness/injury program to ensure that all employees are accommodated if able. We will review “Duty to Accommodate” boundaries. by looking all of the job functions within your organization to develop a non-occupational modified work plans. It is critical to understand that when a worker is off due to an occupational or non-occupational illness or injury that there may be a variety of emotions and fears attached to their return. We will work with both the worker and the organization to ensure a smooth transition back to work.
Our firm has 20 plus years of experience dealing with all levels of claims including ones that are challenging for a variety of reasons. We will provide early and thorough advice to ensure challenges are navigated. We will help prepare for any appeals including cost-relief. Torgan Safety will provide expert appeal and WCB claim challenge representation by our in-house WCB Subject Matter Expert. We will minimize employer/employee disputes by deferring to Consultant (Arm’s Length Approach)
We will review any historic claims and look for opportunities for cost relief or premium reductions. Torgan will look at maximizing Partners in Injury Reduction (PIR) refunds (Alberta - 20% Premium Refunds) and minimize premium rates within your Industry (Alberta - 40 to 60% Experience Rating Discounts).
